It is a bugger to smooth out with sandpaper by hand, hence why I use my proxxon pen sander love that thing!!

Bit slack on the updates

Had a few problems with my pen sander, the rain and flooding during this build but it is getting there.

All the chassis and interior bits done and mounted on the wheels
Keen eyed observers will notice some big changes from my earlier chassis'
Due to the heat damage from the 2 models that went missing, some changes were made to the design to better protect against warpage in extreme heat. so far, i have had 2 test ones cooking in high temps and no warpage.




All the windows and lenses vac formed and cut, ready to be mounted

First application of blue.... which is too dark, so a lighter shade will be redone



All the artwork for the decals and driver figures have been done, it's just paint and gas out time that's holding me up now.

I fully intended to photograph and document the whole process on these.... I didn't lol
Next 2 FG's after these will be done as a 'how they get built'
I lightened the blue last night... too much.
It's a bit pasty whiteish now... have to find the right balance between dark and pasty white.

had blue issues with the Adam Beechey Kleengroup VE's, now the blue on these... I'm not liking blue at the moment

blue has been redone... a few times. hard to get the colour right with so many different shades of blue but i think i have it right now. just clear coated the blue, once dry, will mask up for the black then peel back all the mask, check and fix any bleeds, then clear coat the lot. dry and gas out, then decals begin! i look forward to the decals... don't know why.
