B MACK

Post by B61 MACK »

Had a idea for a build but after a long hard look in would be to much work, I was going to build a B Mack pickup truck so after a lot of thinking I came up with another idea for a build and that is build up a B-30 Mack instead of a B-61 which every one does.
I built the tray for another project that went south so it will be used on this one instead.
Almost forgot the photo

As you can see B30 has steps instead of step fuel tanks and is a single drive, Got to build up chassis, diff and front axle too.

Oh and smaller wheels that's going to be the hard part been thinking on 1/32 ones if I can find some thing yes!

A mate Ken who's a truck nut gave me copy's of Specifications sheets on the B-30 Mack's, I have a few photos of the yellow one that shows the chassis.
Will make a slow start on it in the new year. yes!

The plan for the Mack is the cab to be painted yellow with dark blue fenders, tray will be repainted yellow rims will have chrome removed and paint dark blue, It will be a Golden Fleece truck going to look putting a small tank on it too.
The wheels are from a 1/32 scale Diecast truck which gives the look I am after.

Like those wheels, just need to chop the bottom of the front fender and raised wheel tubs in the tray and then lower it alot.
