KENWORTH K123

Post by B61 MACK »

I have packed the Peterbilt truck away as there is a lot of parts missing from the engine  that's what you get for buying a second hand kit that some one started, So as I have two of the Kenworths to build I started one, Not building it like the box art the cab and chassis should be all orange.
Will think on colours over the next few weeks.

AMT truck kits needs a lot of cleaning up on parts following the instructions are not the best anyway hope to have it done by next winter yes!

Take some effort, but worth it.
Tamiya X-4 on the cab and semi gloss black chassis get my vote for colour selection;)

Love COE trucks! Some of the intricate striped paintjobs you see on trucks are nuts!

Could go with those colours Luke could even go with X-13 Metallic Blue either colour would need a bit of white to break up all the blue. thinking
Slowlylearning I got five COE's to build up.

My mate Ken drop by this afternoon and we talked about the colour for this one he said a rule of thumb is you go with darker colour for chassis and lighter colour for cab.
He is the one I get help with truck information as he is a truck nut and was a driver and has built some very nice trucks too.

Been working on this one the last two days putting the cross members in the chassis rails on rail it but has got all these tiny plastic dags that have to be removed first  have not cut my fingers yet  never seen plastic dags before but the its a AMT kit so its no surprise as there is a lot of flashing on the parts too to clean up.
