Re: HO-scale
The 38 Class was built in Eveleigh in Sydney and at Cardiff near Newcastle, Eveleigh did the even numbers and Cardiff did the odd numbers. The was 30 built for the class and first Five were Steamlined he rest were not.
I will be getting the Steamline one when it comes out next year.
There is two 38's still running today 3801 and 3830 the last one.

Run the 38 and two cars and a parcel van, It run sweet around the layout, I took three small videos with my phone they came out Ok but muggins held the phone wrong way should of turned it on it's side
ya get that, well this time got video last time I tryed me put it on video setting but did know you had to turn it on
Any way here it is sitting on the layout.

Re: HO-scale
I am using Vallejo color on this one I put a white wash down and hope it would show up between the bricks but it did not so will look at something else.
Main colour used is (70.818) Red Leather with a touch of (70-982) Cavalry Brown and a tiny touch of black and white.
The bottom brick work is Dark Sand.
Been two hours work so far and more to do, there will be the sand colour on top and bottom of the windows.

Re: HO-scale
Very cool! It's easy to see like how deep the scenic/layout stuff goes. I can imagine with each new loco the temptation to do a period-specific layout with all the proper signals /buildings/cars etc is very real!
Re: HO-scale
Slowly working on this one got all four wall together just need to touch up a few places and add windows going with off white around the frames also went for a light grey instead of the sand colour.
