Picked up a cheap Lima 44 diesel it was painted in the wrong colour from Lima it was dark brown not a Indian Red, So after soaking in in Metho to remove the paint I end up with a bare body.

Going to paint it in the last NSWGR colours there were only a few painted like this some just painted dark blue with yellow strip on the bottom.

It's a shame more did not have this colour scheme, Think there were four painted and two just dark blue with yellow strip on the bottom.
Sadly the NSWGR started to sell off all the older diesels and most of the 44's went for scrap :( there were a 100 of them only a few were saved.

Been doing some checking and looks like only three were painted in the blue scheme.
Got a coat of Yellow on today will wait until paint gas out and dry before I mask up and paint the dark blue on it.
