small update yes!

I modified the front axle to suit. I cut the stubs off, trimmed it and glued the funny car axle straight on top. Then all I had to do is trim the axle and done. Front end stance is bang on :D front suspension is now ready for paint.

I dremeled out the rear and cut stuff away until the wheels fit properly and then I could to start thinking about the suspension. Sprayed some bits with primer to help with the clean up process.

Final front end stance

Still looking at the funny car kit and the rear suspension and then I cut the rear off of it. I'll cut the chassis later and figure out what I'll do so it sits right thinking

Another mock up and the reason for another mock up.

The whole rear end from the CHI-TOWN Hustler. Now I can use the wheelie bars too once it's glued in place.

The best thing about when my days off line up with when the missus is working is I get heaps of modelling done thumbsup I have a splash of colour on the chassis which is 95% complete

I've also been Googling rudy trucks and damm this would look good as a rat rod, shame I'm going in a different direction for this kit. Maybe if I get another 1940s pickup I'll rat rod it

I've got the body ready for primer then paint. Doors are on! Everything fits good except the bonnet which may get left of at this stage. Interior will be stock in double brown, wood deck tan and nato brown.

Hopefully there's no more sanding seems and cleaning flash after the next coat of primer.
