Olive drab, brown n black is an idea I’ve seen and liked thinking

Hmm there is a slight sheen to to AS paints like a semi gloss question I might get away with no flat coat as I don’t want to add another layer of paint to those parts just yet. What do you guys think? Flat coat everything or leave it as it is dunno

Image

The chest piece is bare plastic

Edit; don’t worry it needs a flat clear coat. The darker green doesn’t look right with the painted bits.

Image

A bit hard to see but I might paint some parts of the chest amour and leave 80% of it blue

I feel like I achieved a fair bit while the rest of my house had a nap. One arm, leg, waist and torso clear coated. I’ll leave the rest until I do the frame parts and catch up there.

Damn mate, cruising along. thumbsup

A combo of flat and semi would maybe help break things up a bit.
The green plastic looks way better with the over coat, always amazed how much difference that makes to just bare plastic.

The army green turned out great with a clear coat, the olive looks very dark n plain but that’s ok. I emptied my last can of light gun metal on 3/4s of the frame.

That gun metal will go well with the other colours.

Cant wait to see our builds come to life when we start assembling.

Current progress. Waiting on paint but I’m back at work tomorrow anyway. I need to do the shoulder armour and finish the frame parts before I can do a final mock up before pulling it down again to finish.

I’d say I’m about 1/2 way with the build.
