Since it's a new tool kit I'd say the chances are there's moldrelease agent on it in the nooker and crannier places. Definitely give the bits a wash. Getting the paint off will be easy as pie using that polycarbonate you used to get the paint off that other model. Make sure you wash it reallllll good before priming. What's the new colour for em??

Exactly what I was
too. I'll go racing white, it will suit the body colour and hide the edge if I can't get full coverage.
