Real like the Blue and Silver better then the Silver and Pink, but both would look good in the own way. Hard to say. dunno
Bugger about the rims.

Pearl red is good for something different, but yeah I agree blue does look better.sandboarder wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 2:00 pm Another paint test. Much happier with the blue instead of light pearl red.
Try to do a thing with the wheel but I believe the chrome was too thin or I got too heavy with thinners. I ended up rubbing thru to the white plastic![]()
Hard to see and get a close up but you can see where I was going with the detail. So I’ll strip these later. I have more sets of these wheels so I’ll just brush paint the centers next time![]()

Thinners ?? which one did you use mate acrylic or Lacquer ??
Il share my wheel mishap in the share/show thread.

Wow! mate that looks awesome, the red in the wheels sets it of too.
Atleast you wont have to wait long for the paint to dry between colours
Keep at it mate, going to be another super tidy looking build from you hi5
Safest way to do that technique is use the acrylic's and the acrylic thinner

Yeah poly cleaner might have been a bit harsh for the chrome and like you said the chrome would have been super thin on the edge's.sandboarder wrote: ↑Mon Jan 21, 2019 6:17 pmThe Tamiya Polly carb body cleaner. I do think the chrome was thin too which I should have realised earlier. I do have a plan to save these wheels too. Something a bit fresh and new school.
