Diorama

Post by sandboarder »

There’s a good chance I’ll never finish this but crossed its going to make for some cool photos :D

I’ve been look at Gundam Hangar style kits. After a google and seeing Slowly’s awesome Wave setup. I went a bought some for myself. So here it is the Wave Hangar.

Here is what you get in the box.

Instructions and a sticker sheet that isn’t pre-cut thinking

Here’s what 1 looks like

Here’s what 2 looks like

I think I’ll build it 3 sections high to suit 1/100 scale kits. I have seen some mixing n matching of different brands to get more height that looked pretty cool. Until I’m happy with the size of it all I have no intention to paint these.

The lighting I was thinking of is the Fiber optis cables, think they are 1mm or smaller.
You could buy a lamp that had a few 100 of them some thing to look at.

Hell yeah! How cool are these things! Spare decals and stuff wouldn't look out of place on certain bits either :D

Cheers guys

I’ve been thinking about that too Al, thanks for the idea with the finer optics. I’ll probably buy so cheap strip LEDs and see what they are like when I get to it.

I will definitely be on the look out to see what other builders have done with them.

I snapped this one together quickly. There’s a few setups for the feet area and 2 width’s. I set it up narrow for 1/144 scale. I need to wait until I build another HG to really check out the size of it.

These are really cool and might need another one. The base is the same thickness as the Wave so I should be able set it down flush. It also has side mount weapon racks which I’ll show when I put a HG in it.
