Hey Allan, bugger all change here really, power prices are kicking the crap out of my work.
Our power use is very high and we've had to stop pouring several days because it's too expensive to melt metal.
To put in perspective, our power bills are around 7 million dollars a year and they recon this years will be closer to 10, despite the measures we've taken.
As for the cold, hasn't hit me yet, touch wood.
But it's coming.
Stay warm.

Well we be hit here in the Hunter Valley with some flooding rain, Some places are cut off by water I had to go see my Doc' yesterday afternoon and had to go the long way around to Abermain, Small town of Gillieston Heights has be cut off by water, it's now a Island.
There will be water laying around here for months to come.
The little creek next door has been going up and down the water is flowing fast in it.
We got a plumber now checking some of the pipes that are blocked here.
231mm so far and counting.
Weatherman said the Hunter Valley is going to get hit by heavy flooding rain today, looking on the radar look's like it's to the north of us on the mountains.

Try and stay dry Allan. And warm.
Weather here's been pretty good, just getting a bit cold , maybe that's just my old bones at work tho,
Still no modelling here, little bit of printing, resin doesn't like the cold either.
My desk has been calling me, and I say "tomorrow night" but on the night I just can't be bothered, well not exactly can't be bothered, just a distinct lack of motivation.
That's pretty much it I think.

Well the New England Highway that goes pass Maitland on the Bypass it cut by flood water at Melbourne st' East Maitland, the water from Swamp creek near Maitland Station cut the road there and Telarah Lagoon cut the road too and Wallis Creek cut the road near East Maitland.
Swamp creek flows into Wallis Creek which the goes into the Hunter River, but the flood gate on the Wallis creek is shut until the Hunter goes down.
There is a lot of water in the Wallis creek plains waiting to move the plains goes from Maitland back over to the Watagan Mountain south of us.
Also you have flood water coming down from Singleton and the Cock Fighter creek is in flood the water from it goes across to Singleton.
We had 269mm so far, the rain has moved off the coast and heading north alone the coast.
So far the water in the little creek next to us is down the water has been getting away Ok.

Went over to the back of Stockade Hill here at East Maitland to look at the large lake of water sitting on the Wallis creek plains.
It's going to be weeks before the water is gone into the Hunter River.

The New England Highway is still close by flood water at East Maitland and the old Hospital round about near Rutherford,
I had to go pick up new reading glass had to go the long way around to Maitland took a hour and a half to go there and back.
Going by the highway and back would of been half a hour.
They still have not open Wallis creek flood gate to let the water into the Hunter River.
