Oo! You could chop most of those lips off and scavenge some from another kit to get a different offset, Orange Wheels sets were amazing for that option, like 3 offset options right on the sprue!

They remind of an old Simmons rim before the FR style. Only time you need a lathe now. Take the barrel right back to the rim and then use another barrel to make a 2 piece rim.

Did think of that, but I find it tricky to get clean cuts and hide the join. ohno

Yeah some what close to same design.
Lathe would make easy work of it yes! and then machine new sleeves.

One done, need a few touch ups and final clean up then three to go magnify around crazy

Changes the whole look of em so much, not being just a blob of colour and having the silver highlights, I love em!

Tried a new style of brush today. Used a little too more pressure and possibly not dry enough but great coverage!!!

I deliberately wanted the pattern on top

Primed Haro 1500 black and then the silver dry brush. I’ll will paint in more details later.

The silver with the dark areas pop nicely under the clear body. I will do more highlights on this piece tho. Maybe use some white as it’ll really pop thru the green.
