It's caused by silicone Allan, either on the plastic or if he is polishing around where he paints. I have no trouble with my resin as I don't use mould release. Best way to fix that I have found is sand back and clean with wax and grease remover. See how he goes with that.

Bruce thinks that mould release is in the plastic its self as he has sand it back it still come back, You have to watch the sanding as you can quickly loss the detail on the parts.

Tubman there was no silicone near it, have found out someone in the UK had trouble to using Enamel paints on one too, Looks like it maybe the mould release that's been used on the plastic. Also heard of a bloke having trouble with the Lonestar truck bodys and the London double decker bus from Revell. Bruce has put the Bedford tanker aside for the time been as its up set him. A lot of the new kits are coming from China now.

The silicone would be in the mould release Allan. Like I said before, try cleaning it with wax and grease remover after sands primer back to plastic or strip primer off.

Tubman I have past the infor on to Bruce (silverfox) but he has packed it way for the time been as he has lost interest in it for now, Bruce said today that he will weather it up one day when he looks at it again one day, But for now he going to look at some thing else, He has been doing a few small NASCARS up they are 1/32 scale. Oh the primer and paint on it is Tamiya TS which is hard to remove off.

Have a look who finished 12th and who was one spot in front of him!
Rubens is a well known and frequent sim racer. We had a big battle for a bunch of laps till he slipped past, but then he promptly had a half spin and I got back in front - then he got past again but during the pitstops I got ahead again and held on.

Ok we were miles from the front but I drove as hard as I have ever done (I'm not very quick and generally take a very conservative approach) but I had a really big go tonight and surprised myself with the result. Track temp was pretty low though so grip was up which helped a bit to provide some more confidence but it was a big lesson in just how hard the fast guys push during a race.

Was wondering if you still did this jiminee. Good to see you are. thumbsup
On another note Bruce is still working on the Bedford tanker going to visit him later today and taking him some dry pastels to use to weather it. :D

Can anyone help, My mate Ken is looking for a paint code to get some paint made up in acrylic in a rattle can. He painted a truck cab in VHT Holden engine blue that has SP 120 on it which is very thick enamel, He has been to a few places looking but all have told him he needs the paint code. He wants to paint the chassis. Ken is building up a old Ansett truck and the blue is very close to the right colour.
