tell me about it! my side and back room flooded again, also the side of my house filled up over the concrete so i had an outdoor pool... a second 1
i have a video of it filling but not worth uploading.
i ended up out in the rain, pulling gutters down to let the flow of water off the roof and not backing up and flowing back into the roof.
had a rake pushing water down the sides of the shed to get it past and even put a hose piece (not 3.5inch) into the water and sucked it up and put the hose over the wall to get a gravity fed going and drain out as much as i could.
was sh1t but nowhere near the people at lismore have copped... seen a subway with water about 1 foot from the roof.
my younger bro got married on daydream island... we got pics of that, it's a little upsetting as it was nice. now it's wrecked and will take years to rebuild.
hope all you guys are safe and dry

on another note. expect to see some builds coming out of the kustom vinyls workshop in the next few months. got some more orders in.

Jezz sounds like you got a lot of water down your way, We got fast moving heavy rain yesterday afternoon then it stopped. Lismore has been hit hard they built flood wall but the water has gone over it, I lived there in 75-76 and they had not built the wall. there is a small river the the Wilson when it floods Lismore always goes under.
Daydream was a nice place visted it when I live in Bowen 77/78.
Will be watching for your builds. Just finished a HO scale station will put photo of it up.

Good idea with the bookshelf KC, I need something like that (much bigger though!) for my SAE magazine collection (250) rofl

Speaking of weather/ rain etc, my thoughts are with those affected by the floods, a good mate of mine had his gear stored in a sea container...unfortunately he's lost everything because the water got in...his Custom Harley was stored in there as well....currently he's getting quotes to see if the Harley can be salvaged through insurance crossed

He pulled out the spark plugs and hand cranked it.....no water internally which is hopefully a good sign pray

PS: Still haven't bought a new model bench yet...had to do a front brakes rotor and pad change...

Ray needs a model bench!!

I was hoping to stay on track for 9 models this year. 3 every 4 months but I'm slacking ATM. I've been muck around radiusing the wheel arches on a Chevelle, I have progress pics for a how to. Pulled my Rasty S13 kit out and repainted it, so that's 95% done now I just need black paint for the windows to finish it.

Must be because Cadburys Hullah approved that it tastes different ;) Their sales are down massively because of it, especially at Easter.

Happy Easter guys!!!

oooh someone hit a nerve... but I will take it easy :)
Halal is a scam, cadbury pays for the certification yet there is not a single ingredient that comes from a slaughtered animal so there is NO reason to be certified.
Pauline Hanson claimed Lindt was not Halal and wanted aussies to buy Lindt and not Cadbury who are certified..... then there are posts popping up all over the place that Cadbury is still on shelves and Lindt has sold out... these are utter BS!!
Having a wife who is a manager at a Coles store, I can tell you... there is NO difference in sales off Lindt vs Cadbury and even what we have physically seen on shelves the last days leading up to Easter, there was more Lindt left on shelves than Cadbury. so the people posting this Halal chocolate shit can kiss my hairy ass...
Cadbury pay the Halal scammers to try and increase sales in the Muslim community, fair business call except it has outraged aussies... how much much has it outraged them? not enough for them to not buy cadbury... sales show no change.
I do not believe we should make everything Halal, that's what specialty stores are for. majority of asian groceries are not available in major stores or brands, you need to go to a small store to get them... so why not a Halal store? probably has them in the 'hoods' of Muslim areas.
And these pricks want to change the 'Easter' term from eggs... how can you have 'Chocolate Eggs' at Easter and not call them Easter eggs?
This is Australia, these are our traditions, no one is forcing you to join them but do not try and change them!!
end rant before i fire up too much :)

Haha I knew that'd get a bite.

I agree and think the news story's are funny. If Cadbury paid to be hullah and lost sales, wouldn't they save money and stop paying to be hullah?? In the mean time Cadbury blocks have jumped up to $5 each and are rumoured to be getting smaller then the current 200g blocks.

We are a Christian based country, we have public holidays for Easter and Christmas. If you don't like that to the point where you speak out and want to change the country. Maybe they need to change country's and move. We want to live in peace and what is the worlds magor conflict? It's religion, should the world ban the practice of all religions so we can live in peace?? This would work for everyone except racist and North Korea.

Maybe we should just ban the media's propaganda that fuels the hate and puts fear into everyone. Anyway that's enough to think about for now as I'm sure that'll get everyone thinking
