non model related

Post by bodgybro »

A mate of mine who is into props and replica's (cosplay style stuff) asked me to do him some Nuka Cola decals.. I had never heard of it before but.. of course I'm going to do them.
based on his design and measurements, I sent him an A4 sheet.
Here's his pics he sent me today... oh apparently the drink is in the game Fallout 3

starting with some random bottletops

he primed them

painted a couple blue

the bulk of them red

added the decals

we talked about weathering them, i gave a few ideas on how to scratch up the decals... he was using a blade to do most of the 'damage', not sure what methods he went with, he said he was going to try them all :)
Image

whatever method(s) he used, they turned out great

I commented that once he dry brushed them.... and he was already doing that :)
I reckon they turned out pretty bloody sweet.
my fav is the top row, 3rd from left with the dent
may not be model related exactly, but these inspired me to do some modelling tonight :D

Just show's that your skillz can be used/applied to do other things outside of the model car hobby.

 Maybe I should have worded that different, just show's your decal making skillz can be used on other things outside the model car hobby.
