going for second place.... silver!!

Post by bodgybro »

I need your eyes and your brains guys....
I need to do this VF but I am unsure on what 'silver' to use for the front and rear.. main colour really so it will be the base.

tossing up between TS-76 Mica Silver, TS-83 Metallic Silver or TS-30 silver leaf... more TS-30.

any other options or what do you guys think?

First glance, Mica silver.

But I reckon the silver leaf will look the part too once a clear is put over as it changes the appearance when you put clear over TS-30

But Allan is onto something too if you look at the rear pillar first pic it does have pewter silver kinda look. which to me is silver with a slight tinge of gold as in TS-88 Titanium silver

So id do some test piece's of silver leaf with a clear coat, TS-76 clear coated of course, and Titanium silver.

If you aint got some of those to test with let me know, I have dregg's of all the silver except the Metallic Silver TS-83 expensive shit and could do a couple test pieces for ya to show examples.

Can see why you having trouble deciding.

+1

I think the rear just looks darker due to the lighting etc. its reflecting less light so it looks darker

cheers guys, i'll put up some more pics of different angles to show more of the silver.
I don't have any silver at the moment Luke, so if you do and can do a couple of test spoons, i would really appreciate that.

Not much help as natural direct light will be best.

But...
Mr Primer Surfacer #1000 applied to all first.
No clear applied yet.
