I have been considering making it in pieces but some of the body panels would be a bigger PITA to piece together as they are actually 1 piece anyway.
Locating slots and tab's could be incorporated when doing the 1 piece rendering, then blown apart for printing. Easy to piece back together for assembly ;)

i think you miss what i mean...
The front guard has an inbuilt flare... sort of thing. being so thin, if i made the outter 'skin' seperate to attach to the inner skin, it would warp or shrink/expand. there are tolerances too printing that can be a massive problem. KC can back me up on this. shrinkage and warpage is an issue when doing thin parts. the parts that would be seperated, are the parts that would be the issue.
it's a fine line between making it printable or making a waste.
I can share some pics of waste :/
I'll share a warpage pic of a chassis when i can remember to pull it our and take a pic. the chassis is 1.2mm but when curing, it bowed and the middle looks like a bowl.
A small piece, say that rear wing was made in multiple pieces... would be a huge risk of failure.
It's better to have supports when printing, remove and cure, then the supporting walls hold the other walls in place.
it's a frustrating hobby... and so many inconsistencies.

Here's my usual buk-update

Drew a Rotiform, no test-prints though, just the drawing
Image

Got that Hyundai Azera and its wheels in primer.
Image

Drew up this Work Gran Seeker DMX wheel, it's really strange, the inner Y spokes are 10 count, but the directional outer spoke ends are 9 count
Image

There's the center all close up
Image

... and a set I was able to cobble together through printer issues
Image

Got the sex-spec S2K and RX7 bodies in primer
Image

Got these two sets of wheels on paint
Image
Image

Got up to final assembly on this but it gave me the poopies so back in the box
Image

Painted the Azera in colour, that's Black Metallic from Outlaw Paints here in QLD. Not much to see until I clear it
Image

Paint on the S2K got too hot. it's SMS Orange Pearl over Schoolbus Yellow... I'll sand it out and re-do it eventually.
Image

Did a Hotwire finally... Mocked up in a random hoop and tyre due to printer problems.
Image

Image

New project, Lowpra
Image

Image

Friggen awesome prints from the Bodgeman himself!
Image

And a test Sandman mocked on little rims :D

Image

The Supra wheel, it's a Leonhardirit design. I really was looking for a different wheel I'd seen that was like Weds Kranzes but directional with a weird end to the spoke... But this was as close as I could find. That's a Scale Production P.E diskbrake behind it all glued together. Did the calipers in clear red after this.
Image

Hit the interor of the Azera with some random Gundam Markers and a silver Sharpie, plus some scale VIP magazines. The big silver door bits are separate pieces, very cool feature of this kit.

Thanks for taking the time to share what you been doin.

Image Very impressive wheel designs as always,
DMX, The painted set look trick.

S2k, RX7, Yundai is looking the part.

What happened to the build to make you put it back in the box :?:

Hot wires will look classic once painted.

Lowpra is looking good rolling on those shoes, really like the shape and design of that car.

Prints staying as is and just going to be shelf displays :?:

Surprised you havent designed and printing your own disc brakes

Cheers for the kind words guys! Yeah been having random fun about the place

As for the build that went back in the box, it was the side windows giving me the angries haha

I'll def be doing the wagon up! I just love the way the widebodies look in resin though, dunno what it is aye! Maybe the fact they remind me of prototype renders or something, I just love knowing they're printed and I can see how nice they came up
