Have you been looking at Hert's RX7 (the beard life and hoonigan car)???? Candy red with gold dragon up the side I believe and look great!!!!
Can't blend the front fender into the bumper, too many pieces to go inside the bumper before it gets fit in place. can't do that if it's 1 piece.
That notch.. is the fuel tank cap, leaving that for realism.

I don't like the red of Hertz RX7, too dark for what i like.
I was thinking more

But I'm still not liking red and gold today.. mocked up a few designs and don't like any of them.. except 1.
A hex pattern from the back of the car which fades out towards the mid of the car, over blue tho...

I looked at it in primer and i'm not as happy with it as i was pre primer question

I've spent a little time looking at it, trying to re invision how it could look in various colours and I just can't see it today.

I think I will put it aside for a few days until i clear a few other issues from my head and then re look at it, maybe I'll see what i saw before and be able to continue.

I was talking with KC about doing a candy apple red with gold foil (since I can print that now) graphics... not sure I can ghost anything under red yet but I'll do some test pieces before i put anything on the body. I was really keen on candy apple red and gold yesterday... this morning, I am thinking those 2 colours clash. such a big mood swing...
time to focus on other issues and clear them up before it affects the model without me realising.

so here's the body in primer, still things to smooth out etc but just for a consistent colour view.

Looks good now its primed all the body work you have done looks like that how it came from a kit. Colour decision aye thinking can be hard to deicide sometimes unless you just go with black like I do 90% of the time

That is true. I just thinking that it would help smooth out the body lines

I've looked at it again today... decided to blend the kit
Cut the front tips off the rocket bunny front fenders and added them to the front bar so i can blend the kit into the body.
doesn't look pretty at the moment, I used blade putty, it's pretty quick drying so i will be able to add more and shape a bit in an hr or so.
Once I get it lookig a bit more presentable, i'll post a pic or 3.
then sand it and make it nice for paint.
I am leaning towards freakshow... I mean black now, with some gold and a carbon fibre bonnet... but not just black/grey carbon fibre... oh no, i want to be different :)
I should be able to ghost some images into gloss black, so I'll see how that goes on a test piece
