Warhammer Death Guard Combat Patrol box

Post by sandboarder »

I bought this a while ago and decided I’ll build some each winter until complete for some fun.

Image

The box has 39 figures and I figured if I build 10 each winter that’ll be an achievable goal. I built the first 10 of the 30 Poxwalkers in the set and primed them.

The mini builders on YouTube do a Zenithal primer coat so I figured that I would try that out

Which gives me these creepy guys with shadows now.

We briefly had some sun yesterday so I sprayed some thin base coats thru the airbrush. Still lots to learn but the 4 testers turned out good.

They are actually 4 different colours

So this is what I’ll be trying to paint this winter. I have build anything else all year so hopefully I have some luck with these.

Still just paint in the base colours and going over them with shade coats.

The shade paint on the pants is still wet in the pics. Progress on this figure would be maybe 30-40% complete

They look cool, my son is into Warhammer too.
They're so detailed and fiddly tho.
At least yours look pretty happy :)

He used to do both but lately it looks like he's just painting, but he did say he wanted to do a new group/army, whatever you call them, and game with them.
So I'm assuming he's gonna go and game them at some stage.
