Well it's a new day and new chapter of life, Robin had a nice send off a lot of my friends from my Art group and some from the Maitland Rail Museum came and her friends came from her exercise group, which was nice to see. Also a car model builder Bruce came. Her Children and Grand Children and Great Grand Children were there, only her youngest son did not make it down from Old Bar as he got Covid virus.
Her brother and family were there too.
She was laid in a Cane Coffin which is some thing she would of loved.
It's going to be day by day for awhile.

Hey Allan.
Things like this shows you who actually gives a shit, so It was good she got a nice send off.
Just out of morbid curiousity was she buried or cremated?
My wife was cremated and sits on the mantle in her favourite room, not in an urn, just in the container from the crematorium with some decorations on it, under a collage? of pics of her.
Don't forget to eat and drink, no good if you make yourself ill.
Go train spotting, get out for awhile.
Take care.

Things are going to be different around here, Rang Pacific Link Housing who we rent by and they going to ring me back Monday as the rent will now come out of my pay,
Already pay power and phone and internet and a few other things wont have much money to run around in the car or buying models or HO train bits, :D any way got more kits then I need to build. rofl

Oh Robin's daughter wants me to write down what I want for my Funeral, Me not ready to leave this world any time soon rofl
But will think about it over the next few months to make her happy.

Another thing we have a Black Beauty Rose that Robin has always loved and one small bud had came out, so I put it on her Coffin, shame it was only a small one they are a large Rose, very dark red in colour with dark blue to black tint on the edges of the Rose.

On Wed' went and pick up Robin's ashes and once at home I looked at the package and said to myself is that all it comes too of ones life.  :(
I know it was going to be a small package but it's does not feel real until you see them.
Anyway it's one day at a time.

That's all you can do Allan.
I've made my wishes known, I want to be cremated and when my son is ready to let go he can disperse my and my wife's ashes out to sea somewhere, or a nice spot in the hills.
No graves to feel obligated to visit or maintain, or have to pay for.

Ya Bear that's all one can do , Was talking to her Brother yesterday about places near the water that Robin loved to go to and he said Boat Harbour up near Nelson Bay were they went fishing with the family, So we will be looking at doing that, taking her ashes there.
I want to go back to were I was born at Molong but the cost of burying might be to much so might be ashes, Still thinking on that part.
Talk to Kasey on the phone the other night as I have his number and text him, took him a few days to call me, We had a few laughs on the phone.
The last few days I turn on the radio as it's been to quite here Robin had the TV on all day and sitting with the computer on all day, TV when all night too.
I don't watch much TV mainly Landline on Sunday and the News at night, to much rubbish on the TV these days.

Stop by Ivan's shop at Kurri Kurri on the way to Cessnock, Last week the little shits smashed the two large shop windows, luck they had plywood sheeting behind the glass.
Last night they smashed the glass in the two doors and knock the door handle off.
They used bits a rock and tar out of the pot holes across the street and a brick.
His a small shop that does not make a lot of money so now he has to spend money to fix it.
They put a camera up and seen who did it but the police wont do anything, the little shits will get a smack on the hand and be out doing it again.
So now Ivan is going to be out of pocket 1,000's of dollars to fix it up.
They smashed the doors and windows of the old close club across in the main street and a few other shops, There is a Police Station in Kurri but there is no one there they are over at Cessnock.
And there is no Police around at night times here anymore.
Sad times we live in
