Dick Johnson NASCAR Thunderbird

WIP of my Dick Johnson NASCAR - grabbed the decals from a shop in Adelaide last February. A fair way along - only painting left to do is some colour on the shocks and the red on the body.
Decals might be a challenge but it has been quite a nice kit - some assembly was a bit tricky as there was some vague mounting points but I got there. Surprisingly different from the similar age Lumina kits which I have built a bunch of to.

Burnouts in the bathroom sink – got the Dremel out and sanded the tyres.

Mrs Jim was fine, I gathered it all up in some tissues and stuck it in the bin - did not want to choke any of the fishies!

Making progress on this one - huge challenge coming up now - my first time working with ALPS decals and they are in two layers!

Lookin nice man! I've always had a soft spot for NASCAR cars, I always imagined going to one of the huge big races, it must be such a cool experience.
