Few small bits to resand but mostly prepped for primer

keen eyed viewers may notice the hard lid is different to the previous VE's....
This is the newer 'race' style lid, with small double humps and 'wing' on the end.
I also have an SS lid ready to go in case I get an SS style to do

Primed and ready for paint

Like my paint stands? 1.25L bottles cut just under half way (top of the label), cable tied to some flute board... makes for perfect 1:18 ute body holders
the 'feet' on the bottom of the bottle hold the front in place through the windscreen and underside of the cab roof without blocking paint getting to the top of the windscreen. the top of the bottle really just holds the back of the ute level
Going to make some 1:25 holders with 600ml bottles

Paint is mostly done, 1 or 2 small touch ups which I may do with a black/white decal pieces
Should start the decal application tomorrow
#51 - Keen eyed viewers will notice the #51 is not the same colour as the top pic in the original post... I had the wrong round pics, will put up a pic of the #51 from Homebush which it is to be of, when i apply some decals.
This is all matt... i officially HATE matt paint!!

#15
bit of bleed on the point, of the side forked bit, will fix

small white blob on the front from when i was removing masking after doing white, bit of tape flicked back and touched the bar :/ now fixed after this pic and drying overnight

Re: Adam Beechey - Kleengroup #51 & #15 VE V8 Utes
looking at the OP pic and the current blue on the #15... i think i am way off on the colour. I got the lightest TS blue available... respray coming up I think. might have to hunt for a PS
anyone know a lighter blue than TS-23? it looks right on the chart and lid. I did it over a pure white base but yet it's too dark now dry.
here's the #51

frontline hobbies says it's in stock but i have seen stuff in stock on their site, drove the hour and a bit to get there, only to find it's NOT in stock!
waiting til 10 and ring them before i make the trek with the ready to burst Mrs Bodgy (i would go by myself, but can you imagine if she started to burst and I wasn't with her?!?)

Colours change when the flat clear us applied and normally go darker.
