'30 Ford Touring

Post by B61 MACK »

This is a old Monogram kit that came from Bruce a while ago, Its from there Early Iron Series and its molded in two colour plastic, Red and Black which is a shame as you can only pain it in dark colours, It has very uncool rims and tyres that are to wide for the rear, So I looked the my wheels stash and came across these think they will work out, Going to paint it one colour maybe dark metallic blue thinking

The old hot rods do look better with the high profile tyre I think.

Its just with the body tub being so tall it makes the wheels look small, thats what I was meaning.

I like it with both sets of wheels. Definitely something to think about. I even like the red and black colour combo.

Ya the Red/Black does look Ok, May look at a metallic black and Metallic red to change it a bit. The rims in the kit kind of look like jelly bean ones.

Sometimes mocking up other parts will help get the ideas going.

And just mocking up and putting it back in the box is all good. Need to suss out some ideas when we think of them and can then store them away for later.
Ive lost count of all the ideas I have shown in the mock up monday thread.
