SD CS Zaku projects

Post by sandboarder »

After building the clear SD CS Zaku I decided to get a few more to experiment with. The plan is to build Chars red Zaku standard size and to build the green one as a massive grunt unit. I collected all the bits and built 2 frames to compare. Upon building the Zaku kits standard frame I realised it completely different to what the clear kit came with. Here’s a comparison.

Both of these will be detailed like my MG Gouf, so I’ll paint everything in some form and panel line them.

Big size difference, I still have the booster pack to add to the green frame as well ohno

The boxes the 2 frames came from. I haven’t seen any side by side comparisons of these yet.

thumbsup Im liking the look of MS-06S, interested to see what you do with that one.
Cross silhouette frames are cool, must finish my lil dude one day.

Good way to learn and experiment on the small stuff in preparation for tackling another MG.

Crazy to think we all have a skellington-bones just like those ones inside our bodies thinking

I love SDs, I started one with lots of gold stickers all over it, but the sticker gave me the big ole poopies so back in the box it went. These Zaku ones look sweet!

Got a parcel today and inside was the bits I’m after to really make a start on these. I have 3 kits to build in 3 different sizes.

I was hoping to use the round legs on the green frame but they are the same size as the stock CS frame

Small, medium and large frames. Stock, CS and CS with extended arm and legs.

One done, 2 to go. This one is on the stock grey frame (unpainted) Everything else has been painted. Either blue or flat clear. I used a few decals (4 I think) brush painted the black on the feet and elbows. I might paint the trustees silver when I do the next one.
