1974 Ford Maverick Grabber

Post by B61 MACK »

My brother-in-law Robert gave me this one it's a die-cast model has grey primer on it.
But it came with no paper work and it's missing on wheel.
Made by Motor Max.

Going to see if I can put it on another chassis.

Been looking at the way the front wheels go on this one, Did think of building up a new part for the missing wheel, But after looking at the way its made up I think it will be easyer to make up a whole new front axle.

As you can see by the wheel the hub is part of the rim and the back of it.
Also look's like the front of the rim and hub cap are all one part.
So I need two new front wheels will need to change the rear end too.
Anyway it will give me some thing to do looking for parts to change it. yes!

Look's like this is a 1/25 scale not 1/24.
Just been looking at a front axle for it and found with a bit of work I can use the front bit from a 69 Mustang Chassis, Now to find the wreck Mustang kits to use the front bit off.
This thing has got me interested in building up a car kit yes!
Will be going with Mustang rims too.

That’s looking good. Making some quick progress with the front end, keep at it. It’s looking sweet on the new wheels.
