Another 48 class Diesel, When NSWGR sold off a lot of the older Diesels People bought them to run small private freight operations and AUSTRAC was on of them down at Junee and this is there colour scheme.

This Diesel last colour scheme when it was owned by NSWGR was dark green with yellow wide strip and had 125 Years of Rail Service, 1855-1980.
I almost had a model of it but could not make up my mind if I wanted it and in the end I missed it and still kicking myself over it.

This shows the different size of HO-scale and N-scale.
The HO Diesel runs on 16.5 mm track and the N-scale runs on 9mm track.

Pair of 80 class Diesels.
The 80 class Diesels were built after the Jumbo's.
With the 80 class they want to keep the weight down on them so the front and rear cab were metal and the sides and roof of the 80's were plywood with Fibreglass coating and the colour was mixed into the resin, They came out in Indian Red with Chrome yellow strips, the Second lot were painted in the Reverse colour scheme, more yellow on the front and rear so they could be seen easier. The 80's were a up date of the 442's and both Diesels were Alco diesels.
