The original wheels on the right... my designed and printed wheels... fraction of a mm perfect!!

The boots needed modifying to remove the supercar wing and tidy up to mount the need designed and printed wing

The boots have been puttied and sanded, now in primer so they won't be shown again til they are remounted.

I have 3 commodores to build, all 3 are Classic Carlectables. 2 are 95 VR, 1 is 97 VS... yet all 3 are different :/
1 of the VR's stripped back nicely, 1 has stubborn red/green/black on the front guards and bonnet that just will not come off.
Same for the 97, the front bar of the 2nd 95 would not strip either but the 97 did

it's a bit of a pain with teh exact same models behaving differently but they are getting there.

Had a very productive day today on decal duty

All pink #81 didn't get too much done as I realised I had been working off the wrong reference pics :/ waiting on more of the right ones

Image

Both #1 pink and white Commodores got all their base decals on, just need to finish the full colour decals and then I can clear coat and begin reassembly.

Image

A quick mock up with the wheels and wing. The wing supports still need to be cut and angled for proper fitment.

Image

Also got decals done on the R35, check that thread for pic :)

I started on the blacking of the window frames last night, more to go on that before i start to reassemble.
Had issues with the window decal removals...
There was 2 '95 and 1 '97 Ingall/Perkins models here and every single 1 is different!
You would expect the 2 '95's to be identical but no, they have slight differences, in the body, paint and alignment. I have to be careful not to mix parts up from each build but the worst part at the moment is the bloody window decals. some came off easy, where as others did not and I have to get tricky.
The windows are my biggest issue at the moment, the rest is all straight forward to complete these.

I came to work at 3am this morning so i could get stuck into getting these done before i fly to the Gold Coast to celebrate my 40th.. don't want to be thinking about models while racing Go Karts :)

so I have pretty much got them done.
Just need to sort this window fog issue out, put the windows in, decal the windows and mount them... and the driver figures.. the bloody driver figures lol pain in the butt doing them now.
I have 3 to do the same as the utes I did for Adam, so I have all the artwork done and know which order to do them best in. the 4th is a little different and is already in paint.
I'm doing an OT night shift on friday, i took it because it gives me extra money as well as extra model time :) I will concentrate on getting the figures done.
I will be working on the windows through the day today, hoping to sort the issue soon.
anyways... here they are

and for the eagle eyed viewers... yes, there is some masking tape still on the rear tail lights/reflectors on the boot. I'm still doing the silver behind the lenses and didn't want to touch the boot lenses.

Done. better pics coming

All finished last night
Image

#1 x2... 1 has the crew chief but as how it looks with him mounted is a surprise for Adam, I haven't posted a pic of that yet. the car and driver are the same tho.
Image

I made my usual driver figure for each car but Adam also wanted a crew chief figure. I did it as best I could from the pic he sent me of the guy.
Added a headset and radio, along with wiring to give it a little extra 'awesome'
The car with the crew chief, will be given to the guy it's based on :)
