Hyundai X3 Series

Post by bodgybro »

I have a new niche market, so it's time to do a new niche model.

Hyundai X3 series

First 1 to be done will be Slideways - Cam Wilson

Seeing as each real race car costs $6-9k, these guys won't have a huge budget for models, so I am looking at doing them mostly in 1:24, with an option of a 1:18

Stay tuned for updates

also works well for me as I have wanted to do the X3 of my wife's for awhile.

3D printed bodies?
I think they also race them in SA to Bodgy though I have never seen them, would love to try one though.

I didnt see the X3 series SA page.. but it wouldnt surprise me, i think its a national series.. whichopens up the market more for me :)
its a reasonable entry level for racing, under $9k would get you in a seat.

I love racing series like this. It's incredibly cheap for the fun and experience you'd get.

Can't wait to ee what you get together Bodg, it's gonna be mad!

Almost all parts are done and ready for print, just the seat left and maybe another interior piece to block off the rear of the hatch/tail lights... will make it and decide later when i get more interior pics from Woody.
A new set of made wheels for KC to enjoy :) Koya AE Tek
not every part is on here, there is only 1 brake rotor modelled because as long as it fits the rim, i can print multiples. I had to model all wheels to get the chassis, guards and mounting right.
No rear wiper or wing as Woody isn't running those but they have been done in case future builds require them.
had to make the steering wheel, the wheels and seat all custom for Woody so these may change on future builds as well.
