Aoshima 1971 4 door Skyline 2000GT GC10

Post by sandboarder »

Decide to mock up one of my kits. I still will build my Mini before I come back to this one. But here’s what I’ve done for the mock up and what I have planned for it. Solid plain colour. No metallics this time, black flares. Know idea what wheels but they won’t be the red mk 2’s I used for mock up

I taped the flare to the body

Traced around the flare with a pencil (cleans off easily)

The badges will have to go

Then I dremeled out the body to around 3-4mm of the line. Plenty of tyre clearance now.

I will probably raise the rear a little bit depends on the front tho

Their the normal set from this kit. Because of the body lines the flares line up real easy on the body. Especially the rear, two groves in the rear and one along the doors.

That’s ok Al I’ve seen the Camaro Luke painted and that’s the colour I’m thinking for it. So long as I used the same colour primer
